The best starting point: Our peninsula in Trittenheim

Mosel, we‘re coming!

Thanks to the wonderful Mosel sinuosity, our winery in Trittenheim is located on a peninsula. From here, you can hike along the Mosel in stages on the Moselsteig (www.moselsteig.de), explore the Mosel by bike or discover our cultural wine landscape from a new perspective by ship, starting in Trittenheim (moselrundfahrten.de). At the Mosel you can enjoy various activities! There are signposted cycle paths that even lead to the nearby „Vulkaneifel“ along the „Mosel-Maare“ cycle path, as well as challenging mountain bike trails. At night, your bikes are safe in our garage. Interesting hiking trails, like the „Römersteig“ (Roman path), offer you a true experience of nature! A particularly special tip are the wine hiking tours led by experienced guides. Music enthusiasts might be intrigued by the „Moselmusikfestival“ (moselmusikfestival.de). Great celebrations always take place at the wine and street festival in Trittenheim (trittenheim.de) and the wine festival in Bernkastel-Kues (bernkastel.de). The Mosel valley also offers relaxing activities such as fishing and playing golf. Water skiing or canoeing are favourites among fans of water sports. Swimming with the best view: the panorama pool in Leiwen (schweich.de), situated above the Mosel valley. You want to go in search of Roman traces? Visit the Roman sarcophagi in Trittenheim or board the original replica of a Roman wine ship called „Stella Noviomagi“ in the neighbouring village Neumagen-Drohn.

Is the city calling for you? Discover Germany‘s oldest city, Trier (trier-info.de), which has a lot of Roman bulidings such as the „Porta Nigra“ (a big Roman gate) or the „Kaiserthermen“ (the imperator‘s thermae). Fans of the middle age will find delight in the wine town Bernkastel-Kues (bernkastel.de). The city Koblenz with the „Deutsche Eck“ (literally: German corner), the place where the Mosel flows into the Rhine, is not far away, either. Or you can enjoy some cosmopolitan flair in Luxembourg. We can only recommend making a guided bus tour for a day. There is so much to discover! Simply ask us, we would love to give you a lot of tips for your daily activities.

Tasty pleasures: Every restaurant in Trittenheim is worth recommending, from traditional German food to Italian dining and even 1 star cuisine. These can all be reached on foot in only a few minutes. We would be happy to make reservations for you. By the way, did you know we have received the award of „Schönste Weinsicht“ (best wine view)?!
